Forest Grove Holiday Tree Lighting

About this event

Forest Grove's annual holiday tree lighting begins at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 27, at the tree where College Way meets 21st Avenue on the Pacific University campus. College Way is closed during the program; park on the surrounding streets. The outdoor part runs under 30 minutes, rain or dry. After the tree is lit, the celebration moves to Washburne Hall, a short walk across campus, for cookies, Santa, holiday crafts, coloring, caroling and photos with the Nutcracker, Clara and the Sugar Plum Fairy from Ballet Forest Grove. A child 8 or younger picked from a coloring contest gets to turn on the tree's lights; the coloring page and drop-off details will be posted on the Chamber's tree lighting page. The evening ends at 7:30 p.m. It's put on by the Forest Grove/Cornelius Chamber of Commerce with Forest Grove Light & Power, Pacific University, Ballet Forest Grove, the Forest Grove Senior & Community Center and the City of Forest Grove.
