- ➤ Washington County has activated extra inclement weather shelters for residents facing dangerous winter conditions. The Hillsboro site (1440 S.E. 21st Ave) and Tigard location offer 24-hour access with hot meals and pet accommodations from Friday, Jan. 23 through noon Sunday. Hillsboro News-Times

- ➤ The Hillsboro Hops announced their 2026 coaching staff on Friday. Mark Reed returns as manager while Jim Adduci coaches hitting, Gift Ngoepe leads the bench and Blake Nation directs pitchers, and the team will open the new Hops Ballpark on April 7 against the Spokane Indians.
