  • Intel announced Tuesday that eligible employees who have babies between 2025 and 2028 will have their children’s savings accounts matched to the federal $1000 amount, according to a press release from the local Intel office (Hillsboro) supporting family investments. CEO Lip-Bu Tan said the program backs future technologists.  KATU

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • A federal judge yesterday reversed a 34-year-old rule that allowed the U.S. Forest Service to bypass environmental reviews for commercial logging, canceling approvals for three projects covering tens of thousands of acres in Fremont-Winema National Forest.  Hillsboro News-Times
