  • HART launches its 2026 season today with back-to-back world premieres starting Feb. 7 at its downtown theatre (185 S.E. Washington St.). The schedule includes 'Alma de Luna' from Mar. 14 and concludes with the Fertile Ground Festival on Apr. 10-18.  Hillsboro News-Times

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Rotary District 5100 is now accepting submissions for its Global Grant Scholarship program to fund graduate studies abroad. Eligible candidates must have a letter of admission, and applications are due by March 1.  Hillsboro News-Times

HEALTH NEWS

  • Costco is recalling Mini Beignets that were mislabeled and filled with Chocolate Hazelnut instead of caramel; consumers (especially those allergic) should return the product for a refund, as it was sold locally and in other states.  KATU

SPORTS NEWS

  • Banks High School boys basketball team earned a 64-33 win over Corbett on Monday, Feb. 2, keeping them undefeated in Coastal Range League play and extending their eight-game win streak (Braves). Coach Marlia said a practice reset improved the team's defense and sparked scoring.  Hillsboro News-Times
