On Feb. 6, the Forest Grove boys beat Century 57-54 at Century High School.
Their late baskets (from co-captains Andwele Bridges and Kasen Lariz) helped tie them for second in the Pacific Conference as playoff hopes remain alive.
Local high school basketball games on Feb.
6 yielded scores for both boys and girls teams, with Southridge (73) beating Beaverton (42) in boys and Southridge (70) defeating Beaverton (25) among other matchups. The scores were posted Saturday.
On Friday, Feb. 6, the Century girls won 68 to 51 at Century High School over Forest Grove, taking a 13 to 0 lead early that set the pace.
Their win improved a record of 12 to 7 while Forest Grove must win five games for a playoff spot.
Mountainside beat Westview 52-31 Friday, Feb.
6 at Westview High. The win brought the Mavericks to a 12-7 record and 4-3 in league play while Westview fell to 13-6 overall and 5-2 in conference play.
