- ➤ LAIKA Studios in Hillsboro announced that its new stop-motion film, Wildwood, will open nationwide on Oct. 23. Directed by Travis Knight, the film follows a young girl's quest to rescue her baby brother in an enchanted forest. Hillsboro News-Times
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Senate Bill 1586, known as the JOBS Act, would expand tax credits for clean tech and advanced manufacturing and bring land into Hillsboro’s urban growth boundary for semiconductor development. Lawmakers hope the measure will strengthen Oregon’s struggling manufacturing sector and create more high-paying jobs. Hillsboro News-Times
