- ➤ Authorities in Washington County released a surveillance image of a suspect wanted for an armed robbery at Godfather's Pizza in Aloha that occurred just before 9 p.m. on Sunday; officers reported that the suspect fled by car as they used a K9 unit + drone in the search and no injuries were reported. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ City leaders, staff & partners broke ground Monday, March 3, for a new year-round shelter near Winco & Dairy Creek Park that will provide safe sleeping areas, meals & 24/7 support for 75 homeless adults. The shelter, built on property purchased in 2021, will open to guests in winter and feature indoor congregate sleeping areas, individual shelter pods & accommodations for pets. Hillsboro Herald
- ➤ Oregon transportation officials say that lower gas tax revenue from more electric vehicles is expected to lead to cuts in road repairs and possible layoffs. The Oregon Department of Transportation estimated over $350 million in missing funds that lawmakers say is worsened by mismanaged revenue—officials are now exploring new fees and charges to fix the issue.
