  • A 24-year-old Venezuelan, Alvaro Flores-Barboza, who escaped from an ICE facility in Tacoma on March 26 was arrested Saturday morning in Beaverton at 5:30 a.m. by a Washington County deputy for driving with a suspended license and giving false information—officials are still clarifying how he returned to Oregon.  KOIN
  • The Oregon Department of Human Services, Child Welfare Division is asking the public to help locate Joshua Makalea—a 17-year-old in foster care who went missing from Monmouth on March 14—as authorities fear he may be in danger and note he has been seen near Dallas, Independence, Monmouth, and Albany while possibly trying to reach Sacramento.  KATU

  • Hundreds gathered outside Tesla dealerships in Oregon and Southwest Washington on March 29 to join a global Day of Action against Elon Musk’s policies that reduced federal funding, cost jobs and dismantled government agencies.
