- ➤ A grand jury indicted 28-year-old Dwight Deshawn Dew Jr. for the fatal May 2023 shooting of 24-year-old Pedro Antonio Prieto-Lopez in a Washington County parking lot—Dew Jr. was already in custody for a separate prostitution charge—and he faces charges including first-degree manslaughter, two counts of unlawful use of a weapon, and unlawful possession of a machine gun—detectives continue investigating the case. - ➤ On Monday, Hillsboro police charged three juveniles with attempted murder after they shot a man at the ARCO gas station on NE Cornell Rd, leaving him badly injured and prompting a two-hour search after the suspects fled on foot—local officers later detained them at the Donald E.
