EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Tigard-Tual School District approved a plan on Monday to cut $5.5M from next year's budget to address a shortfall, with most cuts coming from staff positions and remaining funds from supplies and transportation. The district will meet with unions later this month and notify affected employees on April 30 or May 1. KATU
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ After three straight losses, the Hops did not secure their first win during Sunday's series finale at PK Park in Eugene; Hillsboro will host Spokane today in their home-opener. Hillsboro News-Times
- ➤ The Tigard High School Tigerettes won first place in the Jazz category at the OSAA Dance/Drill Championships held March 20-21 at Salem Pavilion. The coach said the team performed with discipline and trust - earning the trophy after a season of hard work. Hillsboro News-Times
