GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Washington County housing leaders hosted a meeting Wednesday night at the Tamarack Elementary School gym (7201 SE Kinnaman St.) in Hillsboro to discuss the upcoming Aloha safe rest village. The village will consist of 60 pallet shelters with meals, restrooms and showers later this spring, operated by Open Door HousingWorks.  KATU

SPORTS NEWS

  • On Tuesday, April 7, local high school baseball and softball games delivered competitive scores, including a 10-0 win for Beaverton and a 15-7 win for Sherwood, while standout players like Cooper Asbury (four RBI) and Jordyn Henderson (home run) drove key victories.  Hillsboro News-Times
  • On Wednesday, Apr. 8, nearly 5,000 fans attended the Hops’ home opener at the new stadium, arriving hours early to explore areas like a beer garden and Family Zone. The game ended 7-3 (a rough score for the Hops) as officials threw ceremonial first pitches.  Hillsboro News-Times
