- ➤ A new 308-unit apartment community is planned at the old Macy’s site in Hillsboro as Alliance Residential Company and Urbal Architecture propose demolishing the existing building while keeping the parking garage and skybridge. The future project will include retail space and a mix of studio and one-bedroom apartments to add needed rental options in east Hillsboro — a move that may affect local housing costs.
