GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ On April 4, FEMA cancelled the BRIC grant program for fiscal year 2024 and the Oregon Department of Emergency Management said the move hurt community projects with eight of 26 projects already incurring $8 million in costs and possible delays from rising expenses. Governor Kotek criticized the decision—pointing to a Mapleton project for essential water infrastructure improvements. KATU

We invite community members to join us for light refreshments, fun and games for young children and their families as we celebrate and offer a preview of the new antkwak Early Learning Center. In this facility, an estimated 2,000 infants and children will be evaluated annually to determine eligibility for intervention and special education services and our eleven classrooms will host early learning offerings with special attention to the needs of children with disabilities.
