  • Mom’s Uncorked — a fundraiser for Saving Grace Maternity Home — will bring Moms, Dads, kids and dogs to Historic Downtown Hillsboro tomorrow from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm for wine tastings, mini-workshops, shopping, and an after-party.  Hillsboro Herald

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • The Oregon Department of Forestry said its annual aerial survey — the longest of its kind — shows that drought and insects are major threats to the state’s forests following last year’s wildfire season. The survey found that areas from southwest to northeast and east of the Cascades are especially dry and vulnerable to pests like bark beetles and Swiss needle cast.  KOIN

  • antkwak Early Learning Center Dedication and Soft Open

    We invite community members to join us for light refreshments, fun and games for young children and their families as we celebrate and offer a preview of the new antkwak Early Learning Center. In this facility, an estimated 2,000 infants and children will be evaluated annually to determine eligibility for intervention and special education services and our eleven classrooms will host early learning offerings with special attention to the needs of children with disabilities.
