  • Governor Kotek declared Wildfire Preparedness Month and warned at a Salem briefing on Wednesday that Oregon’s wildfire season will be more aggressive as hotter temperatures and dry vegetation increase risks starting in July and peaking by September and October — the state has begun training crews and preparing extra fire resources to protect communities.  KOIN
