  • Theatre in the Grove will open the dark comedy 'Arsenic and Old Lace' on May 30 at a historic theater on Pacific Ave and run select shows until June 15. Set in 1940s Brooklyn, the play follows the Brewster sisters as they serve a twisted elderberry wine recipe that shocks guests + sparks wild turns.  Hillsboro News-Times

  • After a bill that would have banned student cell phone use in schools statewide failed to advance in the Senate, Governor Tina Kotek said she is exploring executive action to enforce a ban that she believes will improve student outcomes & mental health. Lawmakers raised concerns over enforcement and funding during discussions and critics wanted more flexible policies for breaks.  KOIN
