Good morning, Hillsboro.

On May 26th the American Legion Hillsboro Post No.6 held its 85th Memorial Day ceremony at Hillsboro Pioneer Cemetery to honor fallen veterans and continue a tradition passed on from Civil War soldiers.

The event featured flag lowering, prayers, and a rendition of TAPS—demonstrating a strong local commitment to remembrance.

On Memorial Day, the Oregon Military Department held 17 F-15 Eagle fighter jet flyovers over northwest Oregon and southwest Washington—one flyover took place in Hillsboro at Fir Lawn Memorial Park at 11:15 a.m. to honor fallen servicemembers.

After losing two of the first three games, the Hops won two of the final three to split a six-game series against Everett—keeping their series record undefeated this season.

They lead the Northwest League and will travel to Vancouver for six games before facing Spokane next week and hosting Eugene starting June 10.
