- ➤ Jollibee, the global fried chicken chain — known for its Chicken Joy — opened its first Oregon location in Hillsboro on Friday, May 30th at the Tanasbourne Village Shopping Center, where hundreds lined up early to get free chicken offered to the first 50 dine-in and 50 drive-thru customers. Today, the restaurant will give a tote bag to the earliest customers, while red bucket hats will be given to the first arrivals on Sunday. KOIN

- ➤ The Oregon Department of Forestry sent firefighters to fight wildfires outside the state, deploying 14 to Alberta, 4 to Alaska, 3 to Minnesota and 1 to Florida under mutual aid agreements - the two-week rotation helps the team gain experience and leaves enough resources for local fires until the rainy season begins.
