- ➤ Hillsboro will host its Tuesday Night Market starting Tuesday, June 10 from 5 to 8 p.m. when Main Street will be closed to create a walkable plaza with food carts + live music. The market will run every Tuesday until Aug. 26. Hillsboro News-Times
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ A bill passed by the legislature will shield Oregonians from rising utility costs by making Big Tech companies pay for their own energy use—called the Protecting Oregonians With Energy Responsibility Act and supported by Hillsboro’s Sen. Janeen Sollman. Lawmakers say the bill will shift costs from households to large energy users and now heads to Governor Tina Kotek for her signature. KOIN

- ➤ State health officials urged residents to follow summer safety tips as risks from extreme heat, wildfire smoke, water dangers, and food poisoning may rise once summer begins on June 20.
