- ➤ Three Nike garment workers from Indonesia filed a labor complaint in Oregon on May 30 alleging wage theft, hour violations and discrimination by the apparel giant — they claim the issues worsened during the COVID-19 pandemic and are calling on the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries to investigate while pushing for better wages and union negotiations with support from global labor advocates. - ➤ Rite Aid announced that more than 30 Oregon stores will close as it moves through Chapter 11 bankruptcy, and the list now includes the Hillsboro store on 2021 N.w. 185th Ave. The closures mark a significant rise from earlier risk assessments in May — no timeline was given, and some stores may already be shutting down.
