  • The Hillsboro Tuesday Night Market 2025 had its first event Tuesday night in Historic Downtown Hillsboro with great food, music, and many vendors — a busy start to the summer — and will be held every Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:30 p.m. through August 26.  Hillsboro Herald

CRIME NEWS

  • Deputies in Washington County are searching for 47-year-old Zainab Alothman—who left her home near Southwest 150th Avenue and Sophia Lane at 11 a.m. Monday—and are urging anyone with security camera footage to call non-emergency dispatch, as she did not return from her daily walk and does not use a cellphone.  KATU

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The Oregon DMV warned residents about scam texts and emails that falsely claim unpaid tickets—these messages ask for payment and warn of registration suspension. The agency urged people to block the senders and delete the messages, saying DMV contacts never request personal information or money through unsolicited messages.  KOIN

SPORTS NEWS

  • The Arizona Diamondbacks promoted 18-year-old Slade Caldwell to High-A Hillsboro on June 10, and he made his debut last night at Hillsboro Ballpark against Eugene. He batted second wearing #5 and had led Low-A Visalia with a .460 on-base percentage (with three home runs and 13 stolen bases) before joining former first-round picks (Ryan Waldschmidt and Druw Jones) in the outfield.  Hillsboro News-Times
