- ➤ The Washington County Fair will return to Hillsboro at Westside Commons from July 18 to 27 with free admission and daily events from 5 p.m. to midnight. Attendees will enjoy concerts, movie nights, rides, and food vendors (offering churros, corn dogs, and more) with free parking Monday through Thursday and a $10 cash fee on weekends. - ➤ Hillsboro’s Walters Cultural Arts Center opened Gathering today with artworks by Alexander Kriegel, Anya Doll, and Meg Denton that explore themes of love, loss and identity. Community members can join a free reception on Tuesday, July 1 from 5 to 8 p.m. at 527 E. Main St.—the gallery is open Tuesday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Hillsboro News-Times
