Good morning, Hillsboro. Here's your local news at a glance for Thursday, the 3rd of July.

  • Several stores and restaurants will be open tomorrow with shortened hours while banks, post offices, Costco and Raising Cane’s remain closed — shoppers should call ahead or check online to confirm holiday schedules.  KOIN
  • Rick Wright, CEO of Market of Choice, died Sunday at 62. He grew his family’s small grocery store into a regional chain that opened a new Hillsboro location earlier this year — his decades of leadership guided the business's expansion — and his passing marks the end of an era.  KOIN
