- ➤ Gov. Tina Kotek signed five new housing laws on Monday at Century Commons in Hillsboro to speed up the building of duplexes, triplexes and townhomes to meet high housing demand. The laws let state agencies fast-track planning and offer low-interest loans and funds for local projects — steps aimed at boosting production toward a goal of 36,000 new units each year.
