- ➤ On Monday night, two earthquakes struck in the Pacific Ocean off the Oregon coast; the 5.8 magnitude quake hit at 9:08 p.m. and a 4.4 magnitude quake followed at 9:15 p.m., both more than 100 miles offshore on the Blanco Fracture Zone.
