  • A bill to bring $300 million to ODOT was delayed until September 29 because Senator Chris Gorsek is still in the hospital with a bad back injury—Governor Tina Kotek said lawmakers will vote soon to prevent job cuts.  KOIN
  • Starting in 2026, new state laws will protect Oregonians from unpaid medical bills hurting their credit and stop car dealers from changing loan terms once a sale is completed — online sellers must also disclose fees before checkout. Gov. Tina Kotek, lawmakers, and consumer advocates celebrated these measures in Salem on Monday to help consumers avoid unexpected costs.  Hillsboro News-Times
