- ➤ COVID-19 shots are available without a prescription at pharmacies for most residents as health plans cover the vaccine at no cost, though children under 6 must visit a doctor. - ➤ A report by the Oregon Patient Safety Commission released yesterday found that nearly one-third of Oregonians experienced medical errors like wrong prescriptions or botched surgeries, but only about one in three got an apology—errors happened mostly in hospitals, doctors' offices, urgent care centers, and nursing homes.
