GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Commissioners in Washington County voted on Monday to raise ambulance rates by 27%—more than doubling last July’s increase—and set new fares to take effect Jan 1; Advanced Life Support trips will cost about $1,950 now and rise to roughly $2,475 while Basic Life Support rides will go from about $1,640 to $2,084 as officials address staffing shortages and low Medicare/Medicaid reimbursements.
