Beaverton High School boys soccer team won its first state title in 40 years by beating Grant 2-1 (4-2 in penalty kicks) in a Class 6A championship match on November 15 at Hillsboro Stadium.
The team ended the season 18-1-1 (a major turnaround after years without a title) and celebrated a hard-fought win.
On November 15, the Jesuit High School girls soccer team beat West Linn 4-1 at Hillsboro Stadium to win their second state championship—photos show the energy on the field—proving the players worked well together.
This win marked a proud moment for the team after a strong game.
