- ➤ Former Hillsboro teacher Carly Klimke opened Canvas & Code in a 1,000 sqft space at 9955 S.W. Beaverton-Hillsdale Hwy on Wednesday, Dec. 3. The business offers hands-on classes, workshops and camps in art, coding, robotics and design for all ages, which promises family projects and future open studio times. Hillsboro News-Times

- ➤ Banks led the Coastal Range League football all-league honorees with outstanding performances featuring multiple players from offense and defense. Jarrett Martin earned Offensive Player of the Year and Lane Gilbert was named Defensive Player of the Year — the roster also includes selections from Kennedy, Gervais, Yamhill Carlton and Warrenton.
