GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • PGE’s proposed new rate plan would charge data centers for the first three years of infrastructure costs while residential customers pay for the remaining 47 years. The plan, which includes the Hillsboro Reliability Project, is set for a PUC decision at the end of April.  Hillsboro News-Times

SPORTS NEWS

  • Jesuit senior Josephine Frischknecht played in the 12th Annual High School All-American Game on Dec. 13 at Wando High School in Charleston (she was the only Oregonian among 40 players) and earned All-State honors before committing to Montana soccer next fall.  Hillsboro News-Times
  • The Banks Braves girls basketball team, returning most of last season’s near-championship core, is aiming to capture a state title in the 2025-26 season. Coach Nick Rizzo said the team is working on offensive consistency + tightening its defense as they prepare to face league rivals.  Hillsboro News-Times
