COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Hillsboro’s annual Fourth of July parade will return downtown on July 4 at 10 a.m.—featuring over 60 float entries from local nonprofits, schools, and civic groups—and will include performances by all four high school bands and a run event along the parade route.  Hillsboro News-Times

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Oregon Attorney General Dan Rayfield said the state and 27 others sued 23andMe to stop the sale of sensitive genetic data without proper consent, and the company filed for Chapter 11 in late March as it seeks a new buyer—this action could impact about 15 million customers and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court will hear arguments on June 17.  KOIN

SPORTS NEWS

  • The Richardson Oregon All-Star Series will take place June 21-22 at Goss Stadium in Corvallis and will feature top senior 6A and 5A high school baseball players, with several Westside representatives on the North roster — the first game starts at 3 p.m. on Saturday and the second at 12 p.m. on Sunday — as local talent prepares to compete in this showcase event.  Hillsboro News-Times
