- ➤ Gaston is hosting the 28th annual Wapato Showdown at Brown Park from today to Aug. 16 — drawing hundreds of vehicles and visitors for car shows and community fun. - ➤ TriMet will close the Robertson Tunnel from Sept. 7 through Sept. 13 for major MAX improvements — the project will update overhead wires, track segments, and rail ties under Washington Park. Shuttle buses will replace trains between Sunset Transit Center and Providence Park, and riders may face longer travel times, especially when heading to the airport. Hillsboro News-Times
